How do we foster diversity and inclusivity in our IB school?

As an IB school, we strive to foster diversity and inclusivity in various ways, such as:

• Implementing the IB learner profile attributes, which encourage students to be   inquirers,   knowledgeable,   thinkers,    communicators,   principled,   open-minded,   caring, risk-takers,   balanced, and   reflective.
• Offering an inclusive, fair, and accessible curriculum to all students, regardless of their background or abilities. The curriculum integrates a variety of learning approaches,  experiences, cultures, languages, and global issues.
  
• Providing inclusive access arrangements for students with learning support requirements or assessment access requirements. These arrangements may include extra time, modified papers, assistive technology, or other accommodations that enable students to demonstrate their learning.
• Creating a safe and supportive learning environment that respects and celebrates diversity and fosters positive relationships among students and staff. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying.
• Encouraging student voice and agency in their own learning and in the school community. We provide opportunities for students to express their opinions, interests, talents, and passions through various platforms such as student council, End of Unit performances, exhibitions, projects, etc.
• Engaging with the local and global community through educational  trips. We seek to raise awareness and take action on local and global issues that affect us and others.
• Providing professional development for our teachers and admins to ensure they stay updated on  inclusive education. We aim to enhance our knowledge and skills on how to best support our diverse learners and create an inclusive culture in our school.
