DP Admissions

As an IB-accredited school, Notion International School meets the standards of the Ministry of Education and the IB organization.

Decision Making Process


The Admissions committee members individually assess the application files and meet to resolve any concerns if necessary.

The parents will receive the decision within a week of its finalization.

The Admission Committee decides whether to admit the student to the IB Programme after a rigorous review of the student’s records, in accordance with the school’s policies.


Procedure

To apply for admission, parents or legal guardians of the student must do the following:

  • Fill out the online application form. You can find it on our website. Click here to access it and learn more about the application process.
  • Complete and sign the consent form.
  • Arrange for the student to take the entrance exam in English, Math, and Arabic. The exam results must meet the standards set by the Admissions Committee.
  • Submit an academic recommendation form and a behavioral letter.
  • Attend an interview with the Head of Program. The interview will assess the fit between the student and the school.


Entrance Exam

Admissions for the Diploma Programme DP1:

  • Applicants must take entrance tests in Mathematics, Arabic and English Language
  • Applicants must submit their report cards from previous schools
  • Applicants must undergo an interview with the DP coordinator/ Head of Secondary
  • Applicants must meet the minimum requirements of all Higher Level subjects

Admissions for the Diploma Programme DP2:

  • Applicants can only choose from the subjects offered by Notion International School
  • Applicants must submit the topics and materials they covered in the 6 subjects in DP1
  • Applicants must take entrance exams in the 6 subjects
  • Applicants must submit their report of DP1
  • Applicants must submit a document with the following results:
    • Extended Essay: Feedback and Reflection(s) from their previous school
    • TOK Commentary and teacher’s comment
    • CAS outcome and DP1 achievements
  • Applicants must undergo an interview with the DP coordinator/Head of Secondary
  • Applicants who are transferring from a non IB School are advised to enroll in MYP5 to ensure a smooth transition and adequate preparation for the DP programme.

Terms of Payment

Once the school has sent acceptance letters to applicants, they have 2 business days to confirm the school offer and 5 business days to confirm their place in school by paying the requested fees. In case of delay, the place would be offered to the next student on the school list. Students' place is not guaranteed until payment is complete. Without exception, students will not be able to start their academic year until tuition fees have been paid in full according to the payment terms.

All fees are to be paid in Egyptian pounds, include applicable taxes and are bonded with the Ministry of Education of the Egyptian Government. The bonding arrangement ensures that all fees paid to the school are insured against liabilities.

The collection is made in four equal installments, the value of the installment is equal to 25% of the total fees.

  • 10 recent photos (4x6)
  • Original birth certificate
  • Copy of parents IDs
  • Vaccination certificate
  • Health card
  • The latest two academic year’s reports (for transferring students)
